Hellboy: The Roleplaying Game now on Kickstarter
over 3 years ago – Fri, Aug 21, 2020 at 10:56:45 PM

Hello Terrainspotters,

We’re getting in touch to let you know about a new Kickstarter campaign – Hellboy: The Roleplaying Game, which is already funded and smashing through the stretch goals.

In this standalone game, you become a member of the B.P.R.D. and build your character from the ground up. Will you be a researcher skilled in the study of the occult, a hard-nosed B.P.R.D. security agent, a rookie with hidden supernatural powers and more… the choice is yours.

Based on the hugely popular 5th Edition, we’ve made sure that Hellboy: The Roleplaying Game truly captures the experience of the graphic novels. We’ve added new mechanics – such as Doom and Ingenuity – along with unique classes and feats that drive the agents of the B.P.R.D. in their mission to wipe out supernatural threats.

If you’ve read the Hellboy graphic novels, you’ll know that Hellboy and the B.P.R.D. search all sorts of weird and wonderful locations, like spooky graveyards, Gothic mansions, arcane libraries, hidden temples and lots more.

And the good news is, you’ve already got some awesome terrain to bring those locations to life! Whether it’s the bookshelves for a library, gravestones for a misty cemetery or furniture for the mansion, TerrainCrate has you covered.

Please check out the campaign here.

League of Infamy - a dungeon crawler with a difference
over 4 years ago – Mon, Nov 04, 2019 at 03:01:06 PM

Hello Terraincraters,

Realise it has been a while but hope you have been enjoying your TerrainCrate pieces! We're getting in touch today to let you know about our latest Kickstarter project: League of Infamy - the occasionally co-operative dungeon crawler. Take a look here.

Designed by Sophie Williams and James M. Hewitt from Needy Cat Games, this is a dungeon crawler like no other. Join a rogue’s gallery of misfits, ne’er-do-wells and miscreants on a disgraceful mission to kidnap cute little baby Drakons, steal their eggs and viciously wipe out any irritating, goody-goody Elves that try to stop your nefarious schemes.

But it’s not just the Elves you’ll need to keep a wary eye on. Your fellow (mis)adventurers are just as likely to betray you and steal your loot, shove you into harm’s way or just leave you in a dungeon full of unbeatable foes. As they like to say in the League of Infamy – ‘keep your enemies close but keep your friends at knifepoint’.

League of Infamy is also infinitely replayable. No mission will ever play the same, thanks to randomly generated rooms, optional Defenders and a cast of wicked villains. Plus, play through a campaign where your character will learn new skills and uncover valuable loot to add to their armoury.

What's more, your TerrainCrate scenery will be perfect for bringing the League of Infamy game to life. Items like bookcases, tables or dungeon doors are fully compatible with League of Infamy, as they're all based on the same scale.

The Kickstarter campaign has just over a week to go and we've already added 20 stretch goals. Check it out here.

TerrainCrate 2 - Pick 'n' Mix pledge
about 5 years ago – Sat, Mar 02, 2019 at 03:41:06 PM

Hi TerrainSpotters,

Hope you're all enjoying the weekend and planning some grand adventures or gaming sessions. This is just a brief update about the TerrainCrate 2 Kickstarter, which currently has just five days left!

Candy isn't included with the pledge. Please don't try to eat the terrain either.

PICK 'N' MIX PLEDGE

After requests from backers, last week we launched the Pick 'n' Mix pledge. This gives backers the chance to pick and choose four sets they want to create their own pledge. This gives everyone the freedom to get exactly the sets they want without having to go for an entire Crate - perfect if you only want gothic furniture or outdoor scenery, for example.

With the Pick 'n' Mix pledge you can choose any combination of four sets from those shown below. We've also added some extra options since the campaign began, like Gloomy Wood and Bustling Market (which comes with four big market stalls and enough goods to fill your local supermarket).

Check out the TerrainCrate 2: Kickstarter campaign here. The campaign ends 8pm (GMT) on March 7th - so don't miss out.

about 5 years ago – Tue, Feb 19, 2019 at 01:26:22 AM

Great news Terrainspotters, the TerrainCrate 2 Kickstarter launches 8pm (GMT) on February 21st. We're expecting crate things from this campaign and there will be a special 24-hour early bird discount - so make sure you don't miss the launch.

We want this Kickstarter to fund hundreds more pieces of detailed plastic for your RPGs, fantasy wargames, post-apocalyptic skirmish games, even historical battles. Below you can take a sneak peek at the sets available from day one.

Bleakwood Hall is a spooky, gothic setting - perfect if you want a haunted mansion, a Cthulhu cultist's lair, a mysterious wood for your fantasy games or just need some fancy furniture to kit out your king's castle for D&D. Bleakwood Hall contains four sets - Gothic Manor, Servants' Quarters, Grim Woods and Bleakwood Mausoleum.

Campbell Heights is the perfect Crate for post-apocalyptic games, the Walking Dead: All Out War, modern skirmish games and there's a set that's fully compatible with Here's Negan: The Board Game. Campbell Heights contains four sets: Two Trees Mall, Crystal Peaks Campsite, Survivor's Stronghold and Abandoned Office.

Need a Crate for your historical wargames, a bustling market square for RPGs, a simple house for your adventurers to rest in? Well, look no further than the Bellevue Square Crate. This contains the following sets: Market Day, Bellevue Hospital, Cosy Cottage and Peaceful Park.

We're also pleased to report we'll be using various shipping hubs to ensure this project is shipping friendly for as many countries as possible.

Thank you so much for making the original TerrainCrate project possible and we hope you'll be jumping on board the hype terrain once again.
