TerrainCrate is heading to the boats!

Hi TerrainSpotters,

Apologies for the delay in this update, we've been waiting for details from the various shipping companies handling delivery of TerrainCrate and it's taken longer than expected. This has been one of our biggest orders ever, so there's been a little bit of logistical juggling.

Firstly there is a little bad news, there was a delay in getting the items delivered and booked onto boats, which has pushed back delivery by a few weeks. We're extremely sorry about this and we've been working hard behind the scenes to try and sort it out to ensure pledges are delivered as quickly as possible.

The good news is that TerrainCrate will be with you soon. Pledges will be loaded on to ships next week and then they'll be on their way. There are three boats carrying all the goods and we've got the details below, just in case you fancy tracking their progress across the high seas.

USA/CANADA - George Washington Bridge, arrives in port on June 10th and pledges are then due to arrive at the US distribution hub on June 20th

EUROPEAN ORDERS/REST OF WORLD - MSC Clara, due to arrive in the UK on June 20th and then pledges are expected in our warehouse on June 26th

AUSTRALIA/NEW ZEALAND - just waiting on the boat details but this is likely to be slightly earlier than the above. We'll add this one to the comments below once we have it

Please bear in mind the dates above are for guidance and sometimes strange things happen while the goods are on the boat. We once had a shipment delayed because of a typhoon!

Once again, sorry that we've slipped from the expected May delivery date but TerrainCrate will be arriving shortly.

Production and Delivery Update

Hi TerrainSpotters,

Today we've got a quick update about production and delivery.

PRODUCTION

Production is well underway and everything is looking good for delivery in May. In fact, we've recently been sent a number of photographs direct from the factory to show how the finished product will look.

The colour quality is off on these pictures (we have asked for better ones), so some look a little dark or off-colour. You can see the various sets below:

 DELIVERY

Next, we've got a quick update on delivery (we'll have more details about specific dates once the items are on the boat).

North America (USA and Canada) - we're using a US shipping hub for all the North American orders. All these pledges will be sent direct from the factory in China to the US and we're expecting shipping to begin in the middle of May

Everywhere else - these will be shipping from China to our UK warehouse and we'll be shipping them to backers from here. We're expecting shipping to begin towards the end of May for these orders.

Next time we'll have an update on shipping with dates and will let you know the boat details so you can track the progress.

48 hours to check your address!

Hi TerrainSpotters,

This is a quick update to ask you to please check your address in Backerkit. We are still on track to deliver your pledges in May, however we need to start creating a database of everyone's orders ready to send, which means we need your correct address.

You can log into Backerkit here to change your address, if you need to. We've sent everyone a 48 hours notice to check their address. If your address hasn't changed since then, you can ignore this update and the email!

New TerrainCrate pictures & quick production update

Hi TerrainSpotters,

Happy New Year to you all! This will be the official year of TerrainCrate as we're due to deliver in a matter of months. The latest production update is that we've got a few tweaks to make to a handful of pieces and we're getting in new samples shortly.

Once we've seen those (which should be any day now) we'll tell the factory to press the big green button and away we go. We'll then get a rough date from the factory and can give you a predicted delivery date.
